- The first band name was SVO Snakepit (Slash Very Own Snakepit) but Geffen decided to make Slash's name appear on the album and the band got called Slash's Snakepit.
- It's Five O'Clock Somewhere cover artwork has been released by ConArt, a graphic company owned by Slash's brother.
- "Beggars And Hangers-On" is the first song Eric and Slash worked together on.
- "Jizz Da Pit" was built around a riff Slash had been messing around with for a long time.
- Matt Sorum composed the bass part of "Lower", a song referring to Kurt Cobain and Savannah suicides.
- "Be The Ball" was written by Slash upon the request of Data East, a company who sells pinball machines.
- During "Doin' Fine", you can hear Mike Inez banging on a TV screen during a party.
- The whole album was recorded within twenty days.
